The Highland Lake Inn offers an enchanting escape to New Hampshire. One of the oldest homesteads in East Andover, this gentleman's farmhouse was originally built in 1767, enlarged in the early 1800's and completely restored in 1999. The Inn, surrounded by fields, historic farmhouses and barns, sits on a country lane lined with rustic stone walls and shady sugar maples. The Highland Lake Inn was just featured in the latest issue of NHTODO magazine, please click here to read the article.
Our gracious Bed & Breakfast with its ten spacious and comfortably appointed guest rooms provides a perfect retreat for individual travelers, couples,
and families. The Highland Lake Inn also serves readily as a gathering place for reunions, business retreats, or family and holiday gatherings.

East Andover, New Hampshire is ideally located for all four seasons of recreation and relaxation. Savor the vistas of neighboring Highland Lake, Kearsarge Mountain, and enjoy the Inn's own 7-acre grounds which adjoin a 21-acre nature preserve. Highland Lake Inn is located at the trail head of the Northern Rail Trail, a perfect place to snowmobile and cross-country ski in the winter months and walk and bike in the spring, summer and fall.
During the summer months relax with a book on one of the Inn's porches, walk across the street to swim at our private beach, launch your boat, ride your bicycle, hike, or play golf nearby. In autumn hike or ride through the countryside and marvel at the spectacular color spectrum presented by native trees. In winter put on your snowshoes, skis or skates and step outside to tour the fields or glide across to the lake. Snowmobile on the local groomed trail system or enjoy cross-country and downhill skiing at resorts just a short ride from our front door.
