She has extended her yoga studies to include mastery in Kundalini yoga according to the teachings of the yoga master Yogi Bhajan. Ruby Wax journalist of The Mail had the following words to make about Jeanne after experiencing a one to one yoga lesson at the Residencia in February 2002, "She was a genius. I knew she was a great yoga teacher just by looking at her - nothing on her had been affected by gravity…she left me feeling as good as new."
Jeanne has lived in Mallorca for the last 30 years with her children where she owns and directs Happyyoga a centre for yoga and massage.
A small selection of some of the many letters Jeanne Lurie has received in acknowledgement and gratitude from her yoga students:
Ruby Wax The Mail (U.K.) Feb. 2002, “ She was a genius. I knew she was a great yoga teacher just by looking at her - nothing on her had been affected by gravity. When you can't tell if they're 25 or 65, it's always a good sign. She relaxed me and had me doing breathing and visualizing exercises. She left me feeling as good as new.”
A. B. Mallorca April 2008 “I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful few days of yoga here on the retreat. We both really enjoyed meeting you, and I know that we both got a lot out of the time we spent with you. You are a special person, and an excellent teacher so I am sure the new yoga package will be a great success both for you and the hotel.”
B. G. Mallorca March 2009 “It is very rare that one meets someone who makes such a difference in such a short time. Thank you for the couple of hours I spent in your company. I look forward to working with you again.”
Alison Bowyer The Daily Mail (U.K.) August 2009, “This time the yoga class was in the garden beneath the shade of some carob trees. You should see the beauty surrounding you outside and bring that within you, Jeanne informed us, like a true yogi.
As we sat meditating under the olive trees, her mantras competed with the local birdsong....The first day ended with a walking meditation...Jeanne asked us to imagine with every step we were imparting peace to the earth.”

I feel blessed to have discovered Kundalini Yoga - or it found me - at a time when I truly needed it. For me, Kundalini Yoga is a total practice. I feel the effects throughout my entire consciousness, not simply in my body.
I have also been blessed to find Jeanne as my teacher. Having been immersed in Kundalini Yoga for many years, she is adept at creating practices that truly flow, perfectly balanced between intensity and elegance. I also really appreciate the way a practice is designed to nurture and heal specific areas of the body and consciousness.
Above all, practicing with Jeanne is incredibly pleasurable. I always leave feeling fantastic!
Jeanne has opened a door into Kundalini yoga for me and I'm on a path I trust will continue for the rest of my life.
